BootLogo too large; Mandriva 2010 will not install

I have a new Acer Aspire M3203 (AMD Athlon II, 4Gb Ram, Nvidia GeForce 210, HD 750Gb) with Windows 7 already installed.

I ran the Mandriva ONE 2010 today, everthing seemed to be recognised and the software (OOo, Firefox, Amarok etc.) ran well . With that being so, I clicked the LIVE INSTALL icon and nothing happened. Itried several times and then decided to use the Mandriva 2010 Free DVD instead.

Almost immediately I got a "BootLogo file is too large" message at which the installation came to an abrupt halt. I tried several times to install Mandriva 2010 Free but each time came up with the same error.

Does anyone have experience of this situation and/or know a way of bypassing this error message?

Thanks in advance for any assistance,

Tony Littlejohn

ACER Aspire 3203, SEAGATE ST3750528AS hard drive, 4Gb Ram, Nvidia Geforce G210 with Windows 7 preinstalled

Aus9,
Many thanks for the reply. As you suggested, I tried out entering "Linux" after the "BootLogo file is too large" error message.

The installation continued until another error message appeared saying:

"Cannot read partition table of device mapper /pdc_ccbdaihclb"

I have since discovered that the Hard Drive is a SEAGATE ST3750528AS .

Could this be the source of the problem and if so is there a workaround?
