Now, I am definitely no artist, so it is [i]really[/i[ rough. I'll explain the idea behind it (for some reason it doesn't always display properly in anything other than IE... shortcomings of animated gif I suppose...?).
A Tux penguin.
He has a question (though bubble rising... '?' mark appears).
Thought bubble bursts as Tux says 'LQ' in speach bubble.
Speach bubble fades.
LQ in speach bubble shifts over to position in current LQ logo and expands to become the current LQ logo (left-->right sweep).
Now, my original story-board design stopped here, but as you may (or may not) see, I've added the 'Where Linux Newbies Come For Help' slogan as well.
If anyone thinks that they could do a decent anim either along these lines, or along their own storyboard, then I'd love to hear about it! More than anything, I was hoping to use my anim as advertising on my own site (subject to t+c with isp)... but then discovered that I sucked at art more than I orignally thought!
ooh now that i DO like... i take back what i said about only using the real tux picture... photo's count fine as well. kick ass! i'm not too keen on the big Q, maybe a different font. and i did say i only like Arial didn't i (or it's clones...) nice work!
Hey there buddy, I continue to get the "This page is not available" "If you are the author, please contact <blank>" everytime I try to click your links. I am guessing it's just me though, any ideas?
