woops,
how to post images neat in thumbnails...?

the insert image button appears not to automagically do that from where i'm looking.

(and sorry if this question's been asked already (or pointed out somewhere obvious) but i failed to find a way to make it easy to search for (and/or am unobservant enough)).

[edit: a-ha! hints in start of https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...esktop-725754/ ~ edit2... yeah, no, i'm still not getting it... edit3, OH, paperclip! i see it now. i was trying the link thing, thinking it meant that.]

Perhaps you could now explain it to me..?
I am not seeing any paperclip or where to place an attachment...
Have tried all those bracket link instructions without any success using imgur and imgBB

Try Advanced Edit mode, some tools show up there.

First go to advanced mode (click Post Reply button above quckreply box, or Go Advanced at bottom of it)

Then select manage attachments in the Additional Options box.

That puts all the thumbnails at he bottom of the post tho. I dunno how to put them inline.

Hey Guys - Thanks so much for your help
I have found the attachment in manage attachments and in the top menu bar

Yet I still cannot master the image link between the brackets.
I have ensured that there is no blank space - but all attempts fail.
I now have the situation sussed but as for a solution...???
Using the Manage Attachments or Paperclip results in the same GUI dialogue box.
When I paste into the "Upload file from URL" window and click upload I get a message at the top of the dialogue box saying that it is an "invalid file" yet other members seem to be using the same image host..! see attached image...

Thanks to all

Edit - Just noticed down below message box the is Forum Rules where it says HTML code is Off is this the reason for my troubles?
vtel57 noticed that link on its own was no good - it needs the file extension png, jpg etc to work - problem solved thanks to ALL
