Cancelling Membership for Linux Questions

Hi Guys,

I was just wanting to cancel my membership for Linux Questions (the $35, or whatever it is)

I have "tweeted" Jeremy but as yet he hasnt gotten back to me (i know he is a busy man)

Was wondering if anyone knew how, as i'm struggling to do it :P

Kind Regards

There is no real way to "cancel" a membership. The suggested method is to go to your control panel (link to the right hand of the page), unsubscribe from all threads, change your password to something long and impossible to remember, remembert o disallow any email notifications. Log out and clear all cookies. Viola! You never need hear from us again.

If I had to guess I would say that 0men means his "Contributing Member" subscription (which will automatically renew), not his account in general.

So he does. The Contributing Member bit simply shows that you have donated to the site (and confers a few extras - though I forget what they are). It's not, strictly, a membership merely a slightly elevated privilege.

Forgive me for butting in here, but if this is all because of this thread, which appears to be the case, then I suspect it may be down to a huge misunderstanding on your part: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...3-37-d-911248/

Even if one member was rude to you, it's no reason to leave or give up that status.

0men,

I replied to your tweet about 90 minutes ago. Please contact me offline with your payment method and I'll make sure your Contributing Member subscription is canceled ASAP. I'm happy to discuss the referenced thread as well, if you'd like. Thank you for supporting LQ.
