software directory


where to install new programs in the linux drectory. my self new software. If correct /usr/bin/ directory.

That depends on what conventions your distro uses
(if you want to stick with them) ... basically you can stick
things wherever you please as long as you make sure
that libs and executables are in the relevant path's.

excuse me sir. I not understand.
I have install my accountancy sofware (sql version) on the linux. Where linux program files directory.
Microsoft sample : C:\program files\
linux: ?

As I said: that depends on the distribution
you're using, and which installation method
you chose.

Some distributions will put things into
/usr
or
/usr/local

Others will put things in
/opt
