looking for touchscreen drivers for mandriva 2008, touchscreen working with windows

I have a touchscreen (DELL model)which is working with windows xp (with windows drivers for touchscreen installed). but i want to use mandriva 2008 on the touchscreen, which requires drivers of mandriva 2008 only. I have been trying very hard but in vain. I request all the Linux users to help me out. Any valuable suggestion is welcomed. Thank You.

We can't help you if you don't provide any valuable informations. Give us the output of lspci and what you did try, otherwise, we just can't help you.

hi, see i am not very familiar with linux OS or mandriva. but my server runs only on mandriva. Now i want to take this server and other PCs on LAN, one of which has a touch screen. Now the touchscreen was configured as per windows xp environment by a vendor. thats why i am looking for touchscreen drivers for mandriva 2008 version so i can make use of touchscreen.
I have a linux touchscreen driver which is zipped but not running on mandriva.

As said above, give me the output of the "lspci" command, I can't help you if you don't, so please do it. And tell us what you tried, if you tried something. There is no "touchscreen driver" for all touch screen at once, you have to get the one for your touchscreen.
