kernel 2.6.9y: "lufs module not loaded"

Hello everybody.

I've recently downloaded and compiled kernel 2.6.9 (which for some weird reason calls itself 2.6.9y) and have been trying to get captive-ntfs to work as it has under my other 2.6.x kernels. Whenever try to mount my NTFS partitions I get the following:

Code:
[root@Orchestrator linux-2.6.9]# mount /mnt/C
Captive NTFS v1.1.5. Check a new version at: http://www.jankratochvil.net/
Preparing LUFS kernel module... Run /usr/share/lufs/prepmod if problems occur.
lufs module not loaded: Try running /usr/share/lufs/prepmod to see more. at /usr/bin/captive-lufsd line 180
Any help you can give me would be well-appreciated!

Thanks in advance.
