Error "Kernel version mismatch" when nic driver will be loaded

Hi,
I compiled a pcmcia network driver successfully and copied the driver.o file into the directory /lib/module/2.2.13/pcmcia.

Commando:
gcc -DMODULE -D__KERNEL__ -O6 -c driver.c -I/usr/src/linux/include -include /usr/src/linux/include/linux/modversions.h

When I restart the notebook I get the error:
this driver is compiled for kernel version 2.2.16. This is kernel version 2.2.13.....

How must I compile the kernel that it works with v. 2.2.13????

Cu, Johannes
