Installing XPlanet problem

Hi all.

I'm trying to install XPlanet (http://xplanet.sourceforge.net/) .
I follow the instructions in the INSTALL file, that is
Code:
./configure
make
make install
On the last command is where things start going wrong. I get the following error:
Code:
Making install in src
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/user/downloads/xplanet/xplanet-1.1.2/src'
Making install in libannotate
make[2]: Entering directory `/home/user/downloads/xplanet/xplanet-1.1.2/src/libannotate'
source='Annotation.cpp' object='Annotation.o' libtool=no \
DEPDIR=.deps depmode=none /bin/sh ../../depcomp \
g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../..  -I../../src    -c -o Annotation.o Annotation.cpp
../../depcomp: line 455: exec: g++: not found
make[2]: *** [Annotation.o] Error 127
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/user/downloads/xplanet/xplanet-1.1.2/src/libannotate'
make[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/user/downloads/xplanet/xplanet-1.1.2/src'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
So its not finding g++ , Im using mandrake 10.1 and there is no g++ package to install. Looking on the web I see that gcc and g++ are basically the same thing. I have gcc installed.

What must I do to resolve this problem? Should I create a symbolic link called g++ that points to gcc?

Thanks in advance
