How to downgrade glibc2.6 to glibc2.1?

What distribution are you using? If its debian you would simply do something like :

apt-get remove <package name>
dpkg --purge <package namge> (this clears out the configuration files)

And then re-install the package you want with

apt-get install <package name>

This downgrade is NOT a good idea, this is a core library.
