glibc2.0 program

Hi
I am running Suse 10.0.. using glibc 2.3 Would like to install an older program which uses glibc 2.0 or 2.1....WordPerfect Office 2000. I have the cd's for it.

Can I recompile this program to work on my newer setup. If yes what do I do?
Can I run the glibcs together if compiling is not an option. What woul;d be my options.
I liked WPO 2000 under windows. OpenOffice calc does not work for my particular worksheet setup. Not sure why.

Thanks

you should be able to install different versions of glibc (linux allows this because sooo many progs require different versions of glib).

unless the win progs are windows apl only you should be able to make them compile under linux.

good luck.

are you saying the 2 libraries can co-exist and the system will not crash?

no, i'm saying linux allows for this type of activity-- sometimes.

if your package manager 'lets you'-- then i'd say your ok.

i would NOT force this tho if you are getting error messages about puting more than one copy of the same program-- with different versions on the sys.
