Fedora Core 3, XF86Config file, accelerated graphics

I was installing the accelerated graphics driver for a nvidea card, and the install went along happly as usual. but then I could find the XF86Config file. was it moved and its name changed in Fedora Core 3, or am I just missing something. I found a sample file here:

/usr/share/doc/NVIDIA_GLX-1.0/XF86Config.sample

but I don't know how it got there, or what it would do if I put it where the XF86Config file belongs.

I don't know where to go from here, any help is greatly appreciated.

FC3 uses xorg

Should be in /etc/X11/xorg.conf
