DVD Shrink and Wine - Invalid Filename - Write Protected

I am trying to get DVD Shrink running under wine but am getting a "Invalid FileName - Write Protected" error anytime I try and open a dvd or file. This occurs whether I am trying to read directly from the dvd rom, or from a VIDEO_TS.IFO file that was generated with dvdbackup.

If I use the command "wine [path_to_dvdShrink]", dvd shrink will open fine, I then go up to 'Open Disc', the dropdown menu has the dvd thats in my drive listed, when I go to open it I get the above error.

If I use the command "wine [path_to_dvdShrink] [path_to_backup_dvd_file]" wine trys to open dvd shrink using the file I gave it, but the same error occurs.

I read through several post but didnt come across this problem. Anybody else experience this or have any suggestions?

Here's part of my wine .config file

"Path" = "/mnt/dvd"
"Type" = "dvd"
"Label" = "/mnt/dvd"
"Filesystem" = "win95"
"Device" = "/dev/hdd"

[Drive Y]
"Path" = "%HOME%"
"Type" = "hd"
"Label" = "Home"
"Filesystem" = "win95"

Well instead of using some windows program called "DVD Shrink?" to backup a dvd maybe you should just use a linux program like Transcode and DVD::RIP?

Thanks, I will look into both of those programs, but I am still curious as to why I am getting this error. Seems from reading other posts that people have gotten dvd shrink to work on wine......anybody got any suggestions?
