When I go to
http://localhost:631/ in Firefox to make changes to my printer settings in CUPS, CUPS asks me for a username and password, and if I use root and my root password, it doesn't say the password is wrong, but just continues to keep asking me for a username and password over and over again, and never gives me access to changing any of my printer settings. I tried recompiling CUPS with the newest stable version and installing it, but it didn't fix the problem. Does anyone know what causes this problem?
