Cups defaults to on during boot / lpd can't bind port 515

Hello all
apparently there is a bug somewhere
My Cups starts before the lpd and grabs port 515 and won't let the lpd have it

is there a way to modify this behavior

where would I tell the Cups to start after the lpd
umm
which file would I modify

maybe I could modify the Cups config to default to off

I dunno
ummmmmmm suggestions???

oh yea

Hmmm, I thought Redhat had fully converted completely to CUPS. Anyway, probably, if my menu is the same...

System Settings-->Services

I have CUPS running, but cups-lpd (backward compatibility layer) is off. Try turning cups-lpd, not cups. I don't think you will be able to print at all without it running.
