You need to explain in more detail what you want to do. Do you mean you want to mirror the entire server and the roles it performs for redundancy? Or do you want to mirror data on the server for backup purposes? Or something else?
Hi Dinesh,
You question is not clear.Where is your server? It located remotely or in local place? If it is located at local place, you can install Ghost package and take a replica of it. If it is located remotely, you need to specify what server is that? Weather it a web server or mail server or what what else?
I've one file server with some critical application loaded.
If this server fails I want the standby or mirror server ready which can start servicing the users. I will keep this another server at local only.
If you want to clone the server, you can use cloning tools to do that. But you will need to take care that the hardware for both the servers is identical. Otherwise you will need to install the hardware drivers on the cloned server manually.
You can use ghost for linux for this purpose.
