Exclamation "am getting an error after installing telnetd(ubuntu 12.04)"


after installing telnetd in ubuntu
when i use "sudo /etc/init.d/inetd restart"
am getting following error
sudo: /etc/init.d/inetd: command not found

i also tried for xinetd again am getting same error
HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS?....

Is xinetd installed?

Why do you need to run a telnet server?

It doesn't look like those scripts exist, and with the push to upstart I am not too surprised. Try "sudo service inetd restart". If that doesn't work make sure they exist on your system.

i installed xinetd successfully....
