The cause and affects of boot loaders?

ok i've been reading some posts about the boot loaders, GRUB LILO and Arconis. im frankly scared because it seems like im reading negatives about GRUB and better about LILO. I'm using GRUB now and am scared of some of the errors ive been reading. is GRUB just going to one day say "screw it i'm not loading at all," or do i have nothing to worry about?

"Don't fix it unless it's broke"

I've only ever used LILO and never had any problems with it. Unless GRUB isn't loading at all, I wouldn't worry about it. If possible, paste the error's you have been receiving here.

You dont need to worry about nothin'

It is not that LILO doesn't give errors. It does and some are pretty nasty. I myself have been using LILO forever and it works just fine.

Also, GRUB is pretty good and I gave it a shot once. I'd say u are in safe hands.
