tcsh/csh problem

Hi
I am a rather customed user of tcsh. But all of a sudden (perhaps after installing some piece of software), I had a problem - whenever I start the shell (either tcsh or csh) - I am getting the following error:

if: Expression Syntax.
then: Command not found.
else: endif not found.

- So I tried removing the shell source files as well (.cshrc) without any fruitful results.

Any help, how I can fix this??. Thanks in advance.

Kicker
