Sound from Terminal not playing through bluetooth speaker

Hi,

I am running a java app that plays streaming music on the console. The sound is being played back through the laptop speakers, instead of via the bluetooth speaker.

Other apps (eg. spotify) does playback the sound correctly through the bluetooth speaker.

Can anyone help me get bluetooth speaker to work with my app running in a terminal?

Im running Fedora 23 with Gnome 3.
