Pulsefinder configured while my machine

Last night I didn't shut down the computer and heard it beep several times during the night. I kept waking up but was too tired to turn it off. finally got up and took a look and it was locked (I have it automatically lock if no activity for 10 minutes) so I unlocked it to see what was going on. After I typed the password this message came up, not my normal screen, saying PULSEFINDER CONFIGURED .....or IS CONFIGURING but I shut it off right away thinking someone had hacked into the network. Should I do anything like re-do the install of Ubuntu, wipe things, etc? Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you.
