Live Updates.

I was able to get updates a few days ago but now all I get is 'Retrieving data from server' and nothing happens. Anyone else getting the same problem?

You don't say which distro you are using or which server you are trying to update from?

I am new to Linux and am running Linux Lite. I don't know which server it is trying to get the updates from. I live in the UK if that makes any difference to the server it would use?

Not enough

You should really read http://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/...Ask_a_Question

Your computer is what make and model machine, your distro is named exactly what and what did you try and how did you try it?

You might also think about changing your posting name if you really are Patsy King and don't want unpleasent consequences of someone knowing that fact visiting themselves down upon you as if a plague.

Otherwise, the best of luck.

Do you have an EEEPC or an Acer? It sounds as though you have Linpus Lite. If so, this thread from their forums may be of help:
http://www.aspireoneuser.com/forum/v...hp?f=48&t=9164 - it seems that there are 2 files which need editing.

For some reason the updates started working again butI'm having a few other problems so I,m taking it back to the shop for the OS to be put back to factory settings. Its an Acer Aspire one and was the display model. People had most likely been messing with it while it was on display.
Thanks all.
