most probably it is related to the VM you use (I guess VirtualBox settings). But without details hard to say anything.

I was able to figure it out. When I used CTRL +SHIFT + C to copy, I was able to paste it in Windows. Also, I was able to paste using CTRL + SHIFT + V

Welcome 2LQ.org! Quick, use the thread tools at the top, above #1, to mark this thread as solved! (Before ...!)

I think I've seen that for Bash. Since I love to learn, I'll go study and play with it now. Thanks!!!

P. S. I'm (just optionally) curious about your exact details:
What kind of a window are you copying (text?) from and to? cmd webpage xterm ... (& did you have to enable bidirectional copy and paste in your VM settings?)

https://www.systranbox.com/how-to-co...in-kali-linux/

More: this is my fancy web search:
"virtualbox" -wsl -mac* cmd intitle:bash intitle:copy|paste text using CTRL + SHIFT + C|V
https://www.quickanswer.blog/how-do-...in-linux-bash/
(FYI beware: tho good info, that site seems to invoke some nasty pop-ups and ads!)
