GRUB Loading please wait...... Error 18? Now what do I do??

Hey folks I'm definately new at this Linux system but I love it, so I put it on an old dell dimension. I have Linux Mint 07. After the downloads were complete and the system required a restart...an error code came up which had to do with the GRUB loader. Code 18. Any clues on what to do next??? I have an Unbuntu book but not sure if it's the same as Linux when it comes to these codes. HELP!!!

redo it.

or,
download puppy linux.
that has a simple grub configurator which may fix it.
you should keep a puppy as it's a good rescue CD.

Here's the Error 18 info from Grub page:

Selected cylinder exceeds maximum supported by BIOS
This error is returned when a read is attempted at a linear block address beyond the end of the BIOS translated area. This generally happens if your disk is larger than the BIOS can handle (512MB for (E)IDE disks on older machines or larger than 8GB in general).

How "OLD" is your old Dell Dimension? What else, if anything, do you have on the machine, other operating systems?
