GRUB help plzz

i have 2 harddisks..
first one 120 GB SATA and second one 40 Gb parallel ATA..
i have FC4 and winXP on SATA with GRUB bootloader
now i want to install xandros to a primary partition of my 40 GB disk.
i managed to install the thing without boot loader
then i copied sysmap*, vmlinuz* and initrd* from /boot directory of xandros to /boot directory of FC4 and created an entry on grub.conf
my second disk is shown as hdd and hve partitions hdd1,hdd2,hdd3 and hdd4
the current xandros installation lies on hdd3
..
my grub entry is...
# grub.conf generated by anaconda
#
# Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file
# NOTICE: You do not have a /boot partition. This means that
# all kernel and initrd paths are relative to /, eg.
# root (hd0,2)
# kernel /boot/vmlinuz-version ro root=/dev/sda3
# initrd /boot/initrd-version.img
#boot=/dev/sda
default=2
timeout=5
splashimage=(hd0,2)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz
hiddenmenu
title Fedora Core (2.6.11-1.1369_FC4smp)
root (hd0,2)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4smp ro root=/dev/sda3 rhgb quiet
initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4smp.img
title Fedora Core-up (2.6.11-1.1369_FC4)
root (hd0,2)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4 ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet
initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4.img
title Windoze
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
chainloader +1
title Xandros
root(hd3,2)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.9-x1 ro root=/dev/hdd3
initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.9-x1.gz

now when i select xandros frm GRUB.. it says. root partion canot be mounted.. check root = / entry..
help me to correct this (

Quote:
title Xandros
root(hd3,2)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.9-x1 ro root=/dev/hdd3
initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.9-x1.gz
Since you only have two drives try:
root(hd1,2)
