Smile Game of Hearts download that is supported by Linux

I have no experience or knowledge of Linux whatsoever. It was recently installed on my computer by a kind individual because my windows system experienced an update failure and would no longer open up. I just downloaded a card game - Hearts 1.98 from this website - https://sourceforge.net/projects/hearts/ - following my search for a Hearts game supported by Linux. The download resulted in a folder full of various files being saved to my computer but the game itself did not appear and I don't know which one opens it up. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jacquie

Hi: & Welcome to LQ.

Instead of installing the game via a tarball it would be better to install through the package manager.

What Linux distro are you running?

Hi. Thanks for your response. Do you know where I find the package manager site to install from.

Is this the info that answers your question about the Linjux distro -
Gnome Version 3.30.1

The package manager is already an installed application and part of the Linux system.

No, Gnome doesn't tell me what I need to know.

What is the output of this command?

Code:
cat /etc/os-release
