FIPS without floppy?

One quick question: does anyone have advice/resources they can point me to on repartitioning my laptop hard drive, which doesn't have a floppy drive? I intend to use FIPS, but all the documentation says it requires a floppy. I guess that I could burn a bootable CD, but I'm not sure what boot files I would need or where to get them. Do think it could be possible to boot from a USB Flash stick?

Anyhoo, thanks for any help.

FYI: FIPS is just for FAT32 not NTFS ( just in case your drives are not FAT32)

You can use also use GNU parted to resize partitions too. There are several rescue CD's plus live CD's that might also include parted. If you are planning to install Redhat or Mandrake you can boot the 1st CD to rescue mode and run parted.

It is possible to boot DOS with a flash stick if you BIOS has the option.

Oops! Thanks for the FYi. I read the documentation twice but that still didn't sink in for some reason. Quick google on GNU parted led me to ntfsresize, which sounds like it will do the trick.

Thanks for the tips
