how to make all requests coming to server from one private ip as if its coming from another private ip in same network?

I am running a database server and a web server on 2 different machines in same private network.

now, my database server machine is terminated but i was able to save its hard disk and started a new machine with the same harddisk, in other words; now i have the database server machine running with new private ip.

problem:. my database server is trying to communicate with web server with a new private ip and hence web server is not accepting reqests since it is expecting requests from old private ip (database server).

question:. what can i do so that requests from new private ip are treated as if they are coming from old private ip only?

Without knowing anything about your network configuration, which distribution(s) or database you are running it is a bit difficult to say much accept have you tried using the old IP on the new computer.
