Talking Is it 100 Mbps or 1000 Mbps?

Hi. I have a dedicated server with 1000 Mbp link. I am not 100% sure why it's only downloading at only 11Mb/s. It looks like it's only using 100Mbp link and not 1000Mbp according to dmesg below. Can someone help to explain this part here. TIA.

Yes. It is only 100Mb based on the output. You may want to take a look physical cable or switch port config. You can also directly connect to any gigabit port.
For example, your laptop. Now most of notebook come with gigabit port.

Well, I didn't configure this box. It's one of my dedicated servers setup by a hosting company. May be they neglected to put it on a high speed switch. Thanks for your help. It helps alot.

According to you logs it was up on 1000 and then went down and up again on 100 most likely this is negotiated from the switch at your hosting service.
