how to compile


Hi to all,

I am tamil.i have downloaded openssh-3.4p1.tar.gz.i run configure,make,make all command for my linux pc.my target board is ln2440sbc.how can i compile this source code for my target board whose comiler is arm-linux-gcc.bcuz in my target board has no ssh command.if i run ssh command on my target board,it showa error.
ssh:command not found

First things first, which distribution are you running? I ask, simply because practically every distribution that supports a pre-built binary packaging system will have access to SSH (most distributions come with it pre-installed, anyways).

If you insist on compiling from source, then the shtick is usually:

$ ./configure && make
$ su -c 'make install'
