Linux Mint 12: How to connect to internet with wireless network adapter?
How do I connect to the internet with my wireless network adapter? The cd used to install the driver won't work, I need to connect to an access point for internet. How do I do it?
I did NDISwrapper and it said the driver was already installed on the system now how do I connect to my wireless network? I went into Network Tools and where it says Network Device my linksys adapter won't show up as a option?

if it is working, then point your mouse icon onto the wireless connection - lower lhs of status bar - & it should show any available networks - left click on that network & supply any id_log_in details - as required.

First of all, I noticed that you have bumped your thread many times within a small time frame; Please give your thread at least a few days before bumping.
Now besides that, you need to supply us with more information for us to further assist you. What kind of computer do you have? What steps have you taken so far to troubleshoot your issue? Also, please run the following commands, and paste the output, using code tags:
Code:
lspci -v
(or run lsusb if your device is USB based)
ifconfig -a
iwconfig
Lastly, are you using NetworkManager, or wicd for your connection manager?
Ok cool, should be good enough. Just one minor question though... Is that the whole output of "ifconfig -a"? I ask because -a tells it to display all network interfaces, and I want to be sure that there is nothing else on your system.
