Mr. IsaacKuo, that you.

"The installer will not care about any differences between 2.5" drives and 3.5" drives. Generally, 2.5" drives have slower performance, but either way it's not going to be as zippy as an SSD."

Zippy performance is not important for me. I rather want steady performance. I'll install a Linux Distro on one of my 3.5" drives.

Thanks.

Mr. Yancek.

"I would suggest, if you have not done so already, that you put your Peppermint on a usb/dvd and try it out before installing."

I plan to test-run Mint Cinnamon or Mate or Xfce on my machine having hardware as the following:
Acer aspire T3-715
SSD 128GB now running Windows 10 Home 64b.
HDD (1) D-drive SATA3 1.0TB, storage
HDD (2) E-drive SATA3 1.0TB, empty
CPU Intel Core i5-6400
DDR4-SDRAM 16GB 2133MHz
GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950

Which one of the three, Cinnamon, Mate and Xfce is the best to be installed on a machine as above?

Which one of the three, Cinnamon, Mate and Xfce is the easiest for a common Windows user to use?

How to put one of the three onto a USB drive and test-run it?

Thank you.
