Monitor settings on FC3

I was wondering if there was a setting to configure what my laptop does when I close it. Right now when I shut the lid, the screen goes black and its still running, but I cant seem to get the monitor to turn back on? Is there a special key or setting? The power button makes it reboot/shut off. I just want it to turn back on normally when I open it. Thanks.

That's usually done through the BIOS. You should also have apm or acpi configured.

There was no setting in BIOS.. I just woke up this morning and had a brain storm.. I had to hit the Fn+F8 (CRT/LCD) button to turn it back on after shutting the laptop. That feature never worked with Winblows. But atleast I don't have to drop it on its head to get my display back
