monitor settings


i have a Viewsonic Pro P75+ and I am not sure as to the settings i should set for it in the xf86config file. Any help would be appriciated.

Go to viewsoncic's website and get the specs on it. They should list all the vertical and horizonal sync and refresh rates. As well as max resolution @ specified color.

i went by what the site said but now my stuff is totally screwed...heh i also accedently rm'd my xf86config file cause i thought, maybe it would make a new one upon start up....it didnt...=|

Ouch man that sucks. I recommend re-running the installer to overwrite your installation. Choose "Generic" for the monitor" and select the safe settings. Then make a backup of the file and change little things at a time. Like resolution, color depth, h and v sync rates. etc. Good luck!
