I have sometimes had similar problems caused by a dying battery.

That is a old system, might be a capacitor starting to die.

So i did little research on net a lot of people have this problem with these and they do the heat to re-flow the solder to fix it.it was acting up more and more so today i rapped it in a towel and let it run for a few hours.guess what its working again so far lol.it was pretty hot.see how long it last.

According to my research, many people experience this issue with these and use heat to re-flow the solder to solve it. I wrapped it in a towel and let it run for a few hours because it was acting up more and more.

Was not this kind of laptop already called a “Hot Piece of soft matter” because of its overheating habit? I am amazed to learn that you have to heat it up even more to make it work again...

If it's a hardware issue other than a bad RAM module or a bad battery it is time for the garbage can. I know this to be a fact in my experience with owning a HP Laptop. They are throwaways since they are engineered not to be worked on. That's why I will never buy another HP Laptop. I have had good luck with Acer Laptops which is why I was able to easily able to upgrade the HDD to a SSD.

In the future, I'll never use a tiny gadget from HP!

They give 2 years of warranty, But HP notebooks run well up to 2 years. Many hardware are issues occur after a little period of using it. My HP notebook also facing issues like heat generating, screen pixel dead, and RAM is 4GB so it's very hard to work smoothly. Battery dead after completion of warranty period!

I bought one of these refurbished hp laptops about 10 years ago. Replaced the battery pack once, has been dropped multiple times. It shows including one time when I had to replace the screen, however it still works. Don’t use it much any more, because of has already been mentioned it gets very hot. I know this one is the exception as to how long they last after talking to several computer shops when I was looking for a replacement screen about 5 years ago.

We invest in gadgets more than we buy them. Because we have to work on it. I don't know why no one takes action. I think everyone facing this situation. I know there are so many options that are also available to choose better. But still, as a student, you need to work hard on limited resources.

I had an HP laptop and I installed a heat/fan monitor and found it was overheating almost on cue and stopped.

I was going to try a cooling pad but decided to just bag it (use a desktop) and use notebook style ones which suited my limited needs.
