[ERROR]: Can't mount debugfs: not supported by your kernel failed!

I have CONFIG_BLK_DEV_IO_TRACE=y configured. But debugfs still can not be mounted.

What is the problem?

Thanks in advance,
Shawn

Thanks, it is the option that I missed.

Another question: does make oldconfigure display all the available options in .config file, no matter what choices I make, Y, M, or N.

Thanks,
Shawn

Nope, just the new ones. If you are just updating for option(s) you missed, don't bother. Just use make menuconfig (or whatever) again.

I am using debugfs & relay to transport large volume data from kernel to user space.
While the mount point of debugfs is important for me, I can't find who mounts the debugfs after booting (debugfs is automatically mounted to /sys/kernel/debug).

Can you identify the principal for me?

Thanks,
Shawn
