I got a Nexxtech usb headset with mic and a audigy2zs. The headset acts as a soundcard itself, (It has a mixer with alsa) but its not really good of quality. i cant play doom with it ( the headset cant keep up )
Can i control the headset through my audigy????

USB devices are all handled by software. Try not using any USB hubs. IMHO, USB is still experimental in Linux and the latency of USB is worst than Firewire and PCI.

The best sound card is Audiotrak Prodigy 7.1 or Audiotrak Prodigy 7.1LT.
