Cool LG DVD-ROM DRD-8160B not recognized as DVD player on FC2

Hey

I have been running FC2 Linux for about a 1 1/2 month... I got everything up and running... except I can't find any way so that Linux recognizes my LG DVD-ROM DRD-8160B as a DVD player... It is functionnal and it is able to read DVD discs, only, it gets monted in /dev/cdrom1, and to be able to read movies in mplayer, I'd have to get it mounted in /dev/dvd.

Anyone got an idea on how to do this ?

Thankx

make a symlink in /dev

"ln -s /dev/cdrom1 /dev/dvd"

and you're ready to go
