Keyboard Locks up when I boot to Suse or fedora cd

When I boot up to the Installation CD Fedora5 or SUSE-10 my pc boots up
and display all the options to Install, however the Keyboard is DEAD I can't select anything.
If I boot up to an Ubuntu CD it works fine...
Dell E520.. USB keyboard Model L100 that came with the machine.

Why are you trying to install such old version? If a recent Ubuntu works fine, I don't see a reason why Fedora 7 or Suse 10.2 shouldn't.

I was using SUSE 10.2

Try booting Suse with the SHIFT key pressed in; or update the BIOS.

Thanks a million ... It SUSE 10.2 worked .. I will let u know what what happen when I try to install Fedora.
