Adjusting screen content positon with XF86Config
Hi -
I'm using a Samsung LCD 570Vtft on my Linux Sorcerer box running kernel 2.6.4 and XFree86 4.4.0.
I use my system in both text and graphics mode. I adjusted the monitor with the hardware controls to show text lines correctly. In X mode, the viewing area is skewed about 1 em to the right. If I adjust the moditor - with the hardware controls - to position the viewing area correctly in X, the first character of each line is skewed off the left-hand side of the screen in text mode.
How can I postion the viewing area under X? I seem to remenber some graphics utilities bundled with SuSE that did just this. Since I am running Sorcerer, I don't have them. Are there setting in XF86Config to adjust the viewing area? I can't seem to find them. Or is there a command to run to do this?
