Troubles on SuperMount

Hi Guys I recently downloaded the Supermount patch Link for my 2.4.22 Kernel. I did a simple patch -p1 < (patch name) and I tried to mount my cdrom as:

mount -t supermount -o dev=/dev/sr0,--,fs=auto none /mn t/cdrom
mount: fs type supermount not supported by kernel

What could be the problem?
