how do i make redhat recognize my printer new printer driver


I have Red Hat 8.0 . I installed the new the 1.3.1 drivers, in which i compiled and installed for my HP 3820 Printer.??? How do I get RedHat to recognize the drivers so i can print??? (Red Hat 8 does not have drivers for my printer by default). After installing the new drivers printmanager still only see a list of older hp drivers and not the new one installed.????? how do i get red hat to recognize the new driver????
