6) How can we open any port as i have to open swat(901) port for configuring samba server.
cdrecord treats CD drives as SCSI drives. You need to read this from the cdrecord docs.
As root
#insmod ide-scsi should do it
If it doesn't give us more details about your distribution of Linux, etc.
To see the contents of an .iso, you can sometimes browse the contents on a mirror. In Linux you can mount the .iso as if it were a filesystem:
As root
mkdir somedir
mount some.iso somedir -o loop,ro
ls somedir
You can switch back to being an ordinary user, and the contents will still be visible if the normal user has permission to access somedir. Root can give that
permission
chmod 644 somedir
unless it is in /root where ordinaries do not have permission to browse.

Chances are that the previous process was killed
improperly, and didn't have a chance to remove the
lock-file. Delete it manually.

By mounting it loop-back.
man mount
/LOOP
for details ...

Heavily depends on the distro you're using, and
how it's set-up.
have u been using a default kernel provide with redhat
or u have compiled one of ur own,,,,maybe u do not have SCSI support in ur kernel
also u need to pass some arguments to lilo
like
hdc=ide-scsi
i cannot remember the exact one, this will load ur hdc treating it as a scsi device
where hdc is ur cd-writer etc
