OK so i got ie6 installed and steam starting , but it always display could not connect to the steam netwok

how can i solve his ?

OK so now i solved the could not connect error ( i dont know why , but while reinstalling wine ..) but know i cant install internet explorer like before , i can start it but no page will be displayed..

i think it is important , because in the wine general window , i see the grey window and all , but not the texts ...

Make sure you set all of the dlloverrides in the config file as told by frankscorner... if that doesn't work you should probably search several of the tutorials, you'll probably find a sample config file that you can use instead.

I tried 20 times each method of frankcorner for ie , and installed 3 different wine version ... ie isnt installed but i can load steam ( ie dll are installed)
but grrr thats what im getting:

hi guys,

i have written a tutorial how to set up wine to get steam running and added some configurations to get more frames at half-life.

about 55 fps @ AMD Athlon(TM) XP 2400+, 1024 MB RAM, GeForce4 Ti 4200, Wine20031212, SuSE 9.0

great! i got my font problem solved ...

debian testing doesnt include a truetype font server by default so all i need is to install xfstt and ad it in xf86cfg....

but now next problem could not start driver check if opengl32.dll exists ... ( it exists ) any ideas ?

no but now I passed this , i needed to manually put opengl32.dll and glu32.dll
but now it fails to load and give an debug ouptu et hangs , im triying another wine version ..

Ooh, give me that. The latest cvs wine has huge tty errors. (lowercase not defined?)

ok i tried 3 versions of wine ( 301212idonknoe) but everytime like this , maybe its a dlloverried problem , gladiac can you give all your config file ?

after putting dciman adn dciman32 i start and tells me it cant open in opengl mode ( I put opengl32.dll manualy) it tells me it must be runned in software mode

gladiac its crazy but it doesnt work .. d you have msn messenger ? il will not disturb you too muhc but a forum is^a little bit slow
