most of the games must be ported to linux but their is some problems before to do it Linux must be more easy to use as desktop... then maybe making petitions for asking to port games to linux. most developpers must take exemple from bioware who has done a good game wich run perfectly on linux ( nwn!) using the same ressource than windows version....
i think, that they have to do a change in the way of thinking. All games must be cross-platform form scrach and all engines must too. OpenGL must become the standard (Dx9 is coping winning nowadays...).
Originally posted by KneeLess Yes! They do rule very much. Diablo II would also be a nice addition. Maybe Master of Orion III?
MOO 3 works flawlessly with wine (not winex) - but I tried it right now. After 1 hour of playing, I'm deleting it. Blah. Moo1 was 2x better, Moo2 was 10xbetter ! How can somebody release this?
BTW, I want all NeedForSpeed series to be ported
Recently finished Baldur'sGate + winex
Maybe if the 2 for Linux....
Developers have to see some market in Linux before they will port any games, fortunately, as stated by others, Epic, Id, BioWare and others have made the first steps into this, and hopefully more will follow!

i think need for speed underground has been reported to work with winex, theres a howto to get it working with winex/winex_cvs at http://linux-gamers.net
but id still like to see a linux native port . and, since its a bit impossible for me to download the demo, i cant verifiy if it works...
Anything with STAR WARS on the title.
Worms Armageddon and any worms game (the only worms game I've played. I can't help rolling on the floor when the worms say "A donkey! A donkey! My kingdom for a donkey!")
Diablo II + LoD
All off the Baldur's Gate series, Icewind Dale series and NWN
Heroes of Might and Magic 3 + expansion, HOMM 3 The Shadow of Death and HOMM 4
All of Age of Empires (I doubt it to be honest)
And some good ol' Amiga, DOS and console games. Outrun, Rick Dangerous, Sunset Riders, Toki
THat's all from me for now.

umm... no they arent. look at idsoftware, completely contradicting M$ by releasing source for all of their engines except 2 (quake3 and doom3). and some companies will port, we just have to bug them a little, prod them with sticks and wait.
