I recently installed the ATI drivers for my Radeon 9700 pro, and everything went okay, but when I try to run America's Army, the game crashes almost immediatly and this error is displayed:
Xlib: extension "XiG-SUNDRY-NONSTANDARD" missing on display ":0.0".
Distribution: Gentoo 2004.2: Who needs exmmpkg when you have emerge?

Rep:
hmm... xig sundry... thats a reference to the xig.com drivers. they cost money, so dont spend anything yet... try seeing if your x display goes to screen/display 0.
Okay, Im sorry, but can I do this (as you can tell, I'm pretty new to linux).
Does it have something to do with this part of my X conf file?
# Each Screen line specifies a Screen section name, and optionally
# the relative position of other screens. The four names after
# primary screen name are the screens to the top, bottom, left and right
# of the primary screen.
Screen "Screen0"
Also, Why would I have to pay for these drivers when there are plently of people playing AA without having to get them? Is it something to do with my hardware?

I installed the drivers from Schneider digital and get the same error. Should I try downloading a new Xlib? Also, in the developer backtrace, it points out a problem with a file in a directory named i686. Can this be causing a problem because my computer is an i586?
