Enemy-Territory favorites not saving

Im running Slackware 10.2 with kernel 2.6.17. ET runs fine. It will save my filter settings, but when I add a server to my favorite list it wont be there the next time I open ET. This also happened on Ubuntu. I checked all my .etwolf file permissions in my home dir, and everything looked like things should be saving fine. I installed the game as root. Maybe I should uninstall it and install it as a user into my home dir? I need some help on this one.

The same crap happens to me. I haven't done this yet, but go to info when you highlight a server, look at the address and copy it down. That isn't the best solution, I know.
