polkitd WARNING ** error getting system bus

I can't get UPower and polkit working again.

Just updated to LFS Development from 7.1 and now I have installed Xorg and XFCE. But UPower and polkitd is not starting.

I also get the
Code:
Error opening rules directory: Error opening directory '/usr/local/etc/polkit-1/ruldes.d' permission denided (g-file-error-quark, 2)

Looks like your configure options may be wrong, try
Code:
./configure --prefix=/usr \
            --sysconfdir=/etc \
            --localstatedir=/var \
            --libexecdir=/usr/lib/polkit-1 \
            --with-authfw=shadow \
            --disable-static

My configuration is "correct" I am using /usr/local for BLFS packages and the exact same script to build polkit is working on my LFS-7.1 version.

The above problem was resolved by changing to user polkitd on the rules.d directories in my case /usr/local/etc/polkit-1/rules.d and /usr/local/share/polkit-1/rules.d

But now I have another problem polkit: Lost the name org.freedesktop.PolicyKit1 - exiting which I can't resolve. I have built polkit and dbus (same versions) on LFS-7.1 with the same scripts.. looks to be something wrong with dbus

I've had a similar problem try down grading to version 0.105 it may fix your problem as well.
