USB and KVM support

I've read in other posts (such as post 1635295) that the kernel with version 3 (kernel 2.4) has issues with USB keyboards and mice. Any idea if that has been fixed in version 4 (kernel 2.6.9)?

I'm running Red Hat 6.1, SCO 3.6.1, and SCO 3.6.3 systems that I'm looking at upgrading hardware, OSes, and KVM. Any 16 port KVM recommedations?

Thanks

I don't know what you're referring to about USB. I have a cluster of IBMs running RHES3 that use USB keyboards and mice (well, not really ... They use RSA2 cards, but they look like USB K/M) and they're rock solid.

As for recommendations on a KVM -- Something that doesn't say "Belkin" on the chassis
