Ok, I cut my teeth on Mandrake Move. I liked it and decided to go with Linux rather than Windows. I downloaded Fedora and have been ok with it but really liked the look/feel and features of Mandrake Move. Fedora's up2date is annoying and the CDROM drives wont ever unmount correctly. I am just going to go back da' Drake! (The only reason I went with Fedora was because I couldn't find an open server for Drake when I was downloading.
So, I have a few questions--- Mandrake Move is great; Is Mandrake 9.2 as good or should I download 10? Can I just install or move Mandrake Move over to my harddrive and build off it rather than downloading 3 ISO's?
Mandrake 9.2 is awesome. I am really pleased with it and not sure if I will upgrade to 10. I will probably install 10 on a separate partition to see if it is any more desirable for me.
I have been using Mandrake since version 6 or 7.something and 9.2 is one of my favorites.
BTW, if you need the CD's I can burn you a copy. I believe I still have the ISO's on my HD

Thanks for the offer Nic-MDKman. I went ahead and downloaded them overnight and am burning them with X-CD Roaster as we speak. I'm going to put MDK 9.2 on a separate partition as soon as I finish up with Disk 3.
I like Fedora and it really scored big points with me. My decision to leave MS was easy after using it. I just think it's a little less polished than what I have seen of Mandrake so far. The up2date on Fedora was broken right out of the box and I had to use YUM instead. This isn't a huge problem except it bothers me that they had to have known this before they sent the release out. Its a major function on their desktop. I also don't like the fact that the CD Roms won't unmount 75% of the time unless I log out and back in. I have read up on it and cannot get any solution that works. They always say "Can't unmount CDROM1, Drive Busy". I'll try MDK 9.2 and see if I like it better before I give up on Fedora.
Thanks for your reply and kind offer! I'll check back in later today with an update.
